The Pinto Family is very well known because it is one of the oldest Families for centuries generations. Its Rabbis were “towers of light” so that each of its components was an example for his generation.
The ancestry of the family, as noted in many numerous texts, reaches “David Hamelech” (King David) as explained by Rabbi Abraham Hafouta in his book “Kessef nivhar” (chosen money) edited by our Master Rabbi Yehochiya Pinto.
And if we took a detour according to the order of the generations, to each of them rose one of this family who was a Great of the Torah, of teaching and of the “Kabala", which, to this day, fascinates with the miracles and wonders that the ordinary man does not not believe what his eyes see and what his ears hear.
Throughout the generations are raised in Israel leaders of the PINTO family who have earned two “crowns” one of Torah, the other of Kabala.
The origin of the Pinto family is Portugal and from there it spreads to Syria, Turkey, Holland and Morocco.
The first of this family, Rabbi Yossef Pinto came from the dispersion of Portugal in Syria in the year 1487.
His grandson Rabbi Yehochiya Pinto edited numerous books on the Talmud and the “Hagada”
